Hey guys, I was talking to Ito-sensei at Nick and Shar's wedding, and I told her that I was considering getting the 116 textbook to continue studying Japanese. She told me that the book Davis uses for intermediate Japanese, Tobira, is much better. I've been looking for it online and I had a hard time finding it anywhere. So basically, my question is this: do any of you know of a good place to get Japanese textbooks? Other than actually physically going to Kinokuniya, because um, that's kind of far and I don't go there often, lol.

I've ordered on their website before based on ISBN number. Pretty quick and painless.

Unless I did it wrong, I didn't find it by the ISBN on the website...

Even if you can't find the book, just get anything and keep pushing. Also consider the Heisig kanji book to get the 2000 kanji out of the way. I'm going to make a video of studying Japanese sometime soon that is a mix of stuff I learned from Chris that I've been doing so far. I suck at making videos so don't expect much lol.

Steph: Oooh, could I? That would be way easier. And then no shipping!

Brian: I'll definitely keep the kanji book in mind. I have been slacking off way too much when it comes to kanji...

Definitely consider it. It seems to be the most effective way to grind through it so far at least for the meaning. i'm on 1702 right now... 300 to go till 2000.

You mean this Tobira, right? (http://tobira.9640.jp/xoops/)

Also, I'm sorry to be rude, but I can't tell who you are from your username. :[
