Brian: I know that one, actually. Proposal Daisakusen, starring Yamapi. I'm actually not sure why your friend would recommend it because, even as a Yamapi fan, I didn't think it was very good. >_< The special was pretty good though.

Oh, and since I've watched them since my last post, I can say that Yankee-kun to Megane-chan is pretty awesome. It's a high school drama where the main character is a yankee, but the main girl, who's a former yankee, is kind of trying to get him to mend his ways. It's pretty hilarious.

I also watched Shinzanmono, which is a cop drama. It was...okay. Kind of a typical cop drama. Nothing compared to Tokyo Dogs though, which was AWESOME and I would recommend to anyone.

No kidding It's just hard to watch dramas though, since they always seem to be about romance stuff...

Depends on the drama. Most of them have at least a little romance in them, but some of my favorite dramas, like Maou and Kisarazu Cat's Eye, have some romance but it isn't the main point of the drama at all.

Hmm, maybe I should look for those first then.

I should warn you though, Kisarazu Cat's Eye is...pretty ridiculous. But it's also really awesome. If you like it, you'd probably like Ikebukuro West Gate Park too.

You find them on torrents? Certain sites?

Torrents are the bane of my existence, lol, but if you use them, d-addicts.com is the place to go. I personally get my dramas on LiveJournal, since it's all direct dl. community.livejournal.com/jdramas has pretty much everything ever, but I also get dramas from community.livejournal.com/ourhour because it quickly uploads the current season's dramas and then later updates the posts with subs as they come out. There are probably LJ communities for raw dramas too, but I'm not too sure about that. You have to have an LJ and join these communities to gain access to them though. You can also find dramas in good quality on streaming sites if you know where to look, but I always download mine, so.
